Heavenly Father, our ever-present help in times of distress, we lift up Khalid and all the children living in the midst of war and terror. Lord, be with them as their refuge and strength, a present help in times of trouble. Shield their bodies, minds, and souls from the horrors of conflict. Keep a hedge of protection around them as they navigate danger. Comfort their frightened hearts, especially in the darkness. Heal their hearts and minds from the trauma and haunting memories of war. Provide for their basic needs—food, clean water, and safe shelter—for those who have lost their homes. Bring an end to the violence and grant regions in turmoil your 'shalom'—a deep and lasting peace. Surround them with love and restore their hope and joy. Guide the hearts of leaders toward compassion and quick, safe paths to peace. We entrust these innocent lives into your loving care, praying for their safety and a future filled with hope. In your holy name, Amen.
